Time for a Summer Sale!

July 17, 2008 on 4:23 pm | In All Stories | 6 Comments

Each Summer I have a Summer Sizzle Sale the lasts about 10 days of July! I keep it very, very simple! In fact most of the sale I conduct over the telephone or by e mail and this year am having two days of Stop and Shop.

On my Stop and Shop days… I simple set my products out in containers on my center island. No fancy displays! I put discontinued items in a special container with a great price… sometimes $5.00 an item! I also use this time to ask everyone to hold a Fall spa for me! This is usually how I fill my calendar with spas for August and September!

I have included the flier I use. It is super simple and done in MS Word, you can adjust it for yourself! I ran it on green paper and put it in an envelope and mailed it out! It took me a total of about an hour to get the mailing out! I am excited to see how much I can generate in sales in the next 10 days! The more I sell the more I get to buy at Celebration!

Blog me your questions and check back here for updates on how my sale is going! Good Luck!

We want your experience to be memorable, so we want to share some tips, a recording of our Conference call that explains the details and an agenda specific for our National teams! Thanks to friends in Canada for sharing the information below… scroll to the bottom of this post to access the recording and agenda!

You can also post your questions on the blog and we will answer them!

Need a roomate post on the blog and we can help find you a place!

How to make the most of your Conference Experience

BeautiControl conferences are a lot of fun and are also a great opportunity to meet some amazing people. During the weekend try to get outside your comfort zone and utilize all the experience and talent around you. You will find that you will get out of the conference what you put into it.

Hint:

  • Look for the people wearing ribbons as you will benefit from speaking to the people with the most experience. Ask these individuals your top two questions related to areas that you want to grow in your business.

What to expect at the conference:

  • 5000 remarkable BeautiControl consultants
  • Computer access will be available for BeautiNet
  • Be prepared for large crowds & some line ups throughout the weekend
  • It is quite a packed weekend so plan for down time following your trip.

Suggestions of What to Bring:

  • Travel/ medical insurance
  • Camera
  • Tote bag
  • An extra suitcase to carry home shopping & conference materials (Perhaps pack a roller bag inside a roller bag)

· Business cards- to give to other consultants you’ll meet for correspondence. (Easier than writing down that info all the time!)

  • A notebook

· Literature/brochures (leave in the plane for the next passenger! Waitresses, hotel staff, etc)

  • Long distance phone card. If you don’t have cheap long distance on your cell phone you can buy a long distance card on the internet: www.phonecardstore.com
  • Money: Bring some American cash for shuttle and hotel tips. Credit cards can be used for other purchases

Listen below to the Celebration Conference Call!

Suggestions of What to Wear:

There is quite a range of clothing styles that will be worn. We recommend:

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sweater (meeting rooms are air conditioned)
  • Business Casual clothes for meetings & workshops
  • One formal outfit for the banquet
  • It isn’t necessary to go and buy new outfits. We will love you how you are!

Tips to Save Money

  • Bring bottled water as the grocery stores are too far away from the hotel
  • Meals tend to be pricey so bring some breakfast items and snacks.

Other Tips & Notes:

  • Get your photo taken with the Mustang
  • Take advantage of the conference experience by pre-booking 8-16 spa’s for after your trip. Having the spa’s booked before you go will ensure that you will have a place to implement all the great ideas you have just learnt.

Spajammatalk, Monday July 7th! Happy New Year!

July 7, 2008 on 8:15 pm | In All Stories | 16 Comments

Hey thanks for joining us on our call tonight!   Happy New Year!   That is Happy New Celebration Year!   Yes, that is right, July 1st marks the start of a new Celebration Year for all of us in BeautiControl!   It’s a great time to “think” about what you want to accomplish is the coming BeautiControl year!

On our call tonight we asked you to answer these questions:

1.  Why did you join BeautiControl?

2.  Why were you on the call tonight?  (There is something tucked in your heart, that says… I want to do something with this business, or you wouldn’t make the effort to on with us!)

3.  What is your current Leadership Level?

4.  What Leadership Level would you like to promote to this coming year?

5.  How much extra money would you like to make a month?  What would you spend it on?

6.  If all your bills were paid… what you dream of spending your extra money on?

Now I need you to read the next story, before you answer the next question….

DON’T SHARE MY GOALS

Remember the last time you got feedback on anything?  You may have gotten tons of positive feedback but it was those one or two negative comments that seem to cement themselves in your brain.   We tend to give negative comments much more weight than they deserve.

There are people in your life that claim to support you… but really don’t.  If you ask them, they will probably tell you that they ARE very supportive.   But listen closely to how they respond to you when you whare with them your biggest goal.

Once you’ve told them what you intend to do, see if these responses sound like what you hear:

  • That’s a pretty big goal.   Are you sure you have the time to do that?
  • No one in our family has ever made that much money before.
  • Isn’t that going to be hard?
  • How are you going to do that and still take care of your family?
  • How do you expect to find that many people or sell that much?
  • Don’t come crying to me if it doesn’t work out.
  • When are you going back to your real job?
  • That’s nice.

If so, then these people, some of who are family members and friends who love you very much, are part of the 99% crowd.  The people that support you 99% but still hold out that 1% of doubt.

And that doubt can be deadly.

When you sense that someone doubts your abilities, your intentions, your desires, even your dreams, it will cause you to doubt yourself too.  And that’s the last thing you need on your way to the top!

When you share your goals and reams, this is what you should hear:

  • Well of course you’re going to do that, I have no doubt about it.
  • I know you can do it.
  • You’re perfect for that!
  • You’ll be wonderful!
  • How can I help?

These are the people to talk to about your business.   They will ignite a fire in you and keep your vision alive and in focus.   They will claim yur victory for you…. sometimes before you even realize it’s possible.   They are your power partners!

Do you have to stop talking to the 99% crowd?  Of course not.  Just stop talking to them about your goals.  When they ask how business is, say, “Awesome.  How are things going for you?”

The 99% crowd means well.  They’ve merely forfeited their right to have an opinion about your success.   Your potential is only what YOU think it is!

7.   Who are your 100% sold out crowd that supports you all the way!   List the names of your power partners!

Two assignments:

Blog your answers to the questions above by 12:00 tomorrow and be included in a drawing for a FREE TFF!   Just blog in one spot, your National Directors Blog!   Both Saralyn and Angie will be having a drawing!

Finally, call your director and tell her you want to be on her “A Team”, you want to do something with your business this year and you want to work along side of her!
